Defining and understanding quality teaching

Ph.D. Candidate Julie Cowan from the University of Newcastle gave an open lecture to the Education and English language professional master students on the topic: “Defining and understanding quality teaching.”

Mrs. Cowan emphasized some key points in teaching, integrating knowledge, and engaging with students. She stressed that information on relevant topics should be carefully selected taking into account time, changing cultures, and perceptions.

She also added that a range of learning strategies should be used to encourage students' development of critical thinking, problem-solving, and increase their performance.
