Invited by the Department of Education and English Language at an open meeting with the students of Bedr University College was Mrs. Arta Dade, who talked about the political current situation in the country, the election of the President of the Republic, Albania's prospects for integration into the European Union, etc.
Arta Dade is one of the most prominent figures in Albanian politics in the transition period, which was engaged in active politics at a time when women in this sphere were few. The first woman to hold the position of Foreign Minister, former Minister of Culture, Youth, and Sport, and Member of the Albanian Assembly for five consecutive legislatures. Among other things, Mrs. Dade has served for many years as Chairman of the Committee for Foreign Policy and International Relations.
She told about her journey into politics, encouraging students to become an active part of society as young people to take control of the country's fortunes. In the discussion she expressed her conviction that Albanian political parties have lost their identity, not supporting the policies of the wings they represent, whether left or right.
